🦆 Surprise Encounters After the Rain
After a rainy day, I ventured out hoping to find the newly spotted duck families from yesterday—Af3 and If4—but instead, I stumbled upon something entirely unexpected: two brand-new families with newborn ducklings! The adventure that unfolded included dramatic chases with koi fish, a reunion with a long-lost duckling, and heartwarming (and sometimes heartbreaking) moments from familiar duck families.
昨日の雨上がり、前日に見つけたアf3とイf4の親子を探しに行ったのですが…まさかの展開！なんと、新たに生後2日ほどの小さなヒナを連れた親子が2組も登場。さらに、コイに追われるヒナ、迷子の再会、馴染みのファミリーの微笑ましいシーンまで、盛りだくさんな一日でした。
🐤 New Family: Uf9 (2 Days Old)
I found the Uf9 family in the downstream area—9 tiny ducklings! They moved around frequently through bushes, and their mother, with her stylish mesh-like wing feathers, stood out. Their cautious but curious nature reminded me of past families like Ee9 and the ill-fated Ve group.
ウf9ファミリーは川の下流で発見。生後2日目ほどのヒナが9羽！ 母カモはメッシュのような羽が特徴的でとてもおしゃれ。茂みを頻繁に移動する姿に、かつての日々ヒナが減っていったエe9や、全滅したVe組の記憶が蘇ります…。
Koi Chase: A huge koi approached, and the mother hesitated on the route.
Territorial Dispute: Lf mother tried to challenge them, but Uf9's mother drove her off.
🐥 Familiar Faces, Big Differences
Lf4 (27 Days): Surprisingly downstream. Likely pushed by rain.
Zf1 (?? Days): A lost duckling wandering alone again. Still no mother.
Bf捨1 (44 Days): Still chill and independent.
Mf1 (28 Days): Refused to follow mom’s flight—cute rebellion?
Cf3 (45 Days): Dominant chick chased off a Df捨 chick!
Cf mother: Left the kids for a nap in the rice field—rare.
🐤 Wall Worm Craze!?
Df5’s ducklings (39 Days) discovered a worm on the wall, and others soon followed. A mini “wall-feeding boom” began! It was an adorable sign of social learning among the ducklings.
Df5（39日目）のヒナたちが壁にいるミミズを見つけ、次々と他のヒナたちも真似する姿に「壁ブーム」到来！？カモたちの学習能力の高さと、行動の多様性が垣間見えた瞬間でした。
🐣 New Family #2: Ef4 (2 Days Old)
Discovered near Gf7. At first, I was confused due to feather similarities with Af3, but the tiny size confirmed it was a new family. Gf7's mother kindly detoured to avoid trampling them—such experienced parenting.
Gf7の近くでまたもや新組！一瞬アf3と見間違えるほど羽が似ていたのですが、ヒナの大きさから明らかに新ファミリー。Gf母がちゃんと迂回してくれる姿に、ベテランの優しさを感じました。
🕊️ Unexpected Visitors & Final Thoughts

Reunited ducklings: Tf8's ducklings got separated but successfully regrouped.
Despite not finding Af3 or If4 again, today’s discovery of new families Uf9 and Ef4 was a heartwarming surprise. The river after a rainstorm always brings change, and once again, the ducks showed their strength, adaptability, and family bonds.
昨日のアf3・イf4は結局見つからず…。でも、新たな小さな命、ウf9とエf4との出会いは本当に嬉しかったです。雨の日は、やっぱりカモたちの世界に大きな変化をもたらしますね。
